Units marked ready to ship are finished and in studio now. The rest are made to order — reserve with a 50% deposit and the balance is due when your unit is complete.

How a commission works

Four stages, six to eight weeks. You'll hear from us at each one — nothing gets processed without your sign-off.

01 · Week one
Consultation We take your measurements, talk through density, cap type and parting, and agree the shade against a physical swatch.
02 · Weeks two to four
Colour The hair is lifted and painted by hand, then toned. Blondes take the longest — and are the easiest to ruin in a hurry.
03 · Weeks four to seven
Construction Hand-tied onto your cap, knots bleached, hairline plucked to sit the way it would grow.
04 · Week eight
Final approval You see photographs and video before it ships. Balance is due at this point, not before.

Why blonde costs more. Lifting raw hair to a clean pale blonde without destroying the cuticle takes multiple gentle passes over several weeks. Rushing it is how a four-figure unit ends up feeling like straw. The price difference is time, not hair.

Our Story

The hair was never the expensive part. The name on the box was.

GISMA Luxe started because the maths never added up. The houses charging twelve thousand for a custom unit are buying raw hair from the same suppliers we are. What the extra costs you is a waiting list, a showroom and a marketing budget.

So we cut the markup, not the hair. Every GISMA unit is raw human hair, hand-tied, hand-coloured in our studio and finished on HD lace — the same work, the same materials, the same weeks of colour. We simply price it at what it costs to make plus a living, and stop there.

Still a serious amount of money. Just an honest one.

Care & FAQ

Before you commit

How long will a GISMA unit last?

Raw hair, worn regularly and cared for properly, holds up for two to four years — considerably longer than processed hair, which is much of what you're paying for. Co-wash every 2–3 weeks with a sulphate-free shampoo, air dry, sleep in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase, and keep heat under 350°F. Blondes want a purple mask monthly to stay cool-toned.

How does the deposit work?

Made-to-order units take a 50% deposit to begin. The balance is due only once your unit is finished and you've approved it on video — not before it ships, and not at any point in between. Ready-to-ship units are paid in full at checkout.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. Financing is available at checkout and spreads any order over 6, 12 or 24 months. A $1,500 unit works out around $125 a month over twelve; a $5,000 commission is closer to $210 a month over twenty-four.

What's your return policy?

Ready-to-ship units can be returned within 14 days for a full refund, provided they are unworn, in original packaging and the lace is uncut. Made-to-order commissions are built to your measurements in your shade, so once colour work has begun the deposit is non-refundable — that is why we agree everything against a physical swatch first, and why you approve the unit on video before the balance is taken.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, free and fully insured worldwide. Ready-to-ship units leave the studio within 48 hours; delivery is 2–5 business days in the US and 5–10 elsewhere. Customs and duties are the buyer's responsibility.

What if the fit isn't right?

Every commission includes one round of adjustment at no charge within 30 days of delivery — cap sizing, hairline density or a trim. Send it back insured and we'll correct it and return it.
